Director: Paul McCusker Production Engineer: Rob Jorgensen Original Air Date: 9/30/2000 Scripture: Matthew 11:2-19 Theme: Standing up for what you believe in. Album: None Yet.Summery:When her parents tell her shes not allowed to be in a play
due to its anti-Christian content, Aubrey goes on an Imagination Station adventure to John
the Baptist to learn what standing up to authority is all about. ------------------------------------ UAIO Review: T he Adventure contiues with John the Baptist in prision giving Micah his "secrect" message to look for, the Missah. Meanwhile, Aubrey sets out to make sure to get her message across to King Harroed himself on "freedom of speach." It takes awhile before Aubrey is able to even speak with the King. As Aubrey makes a friend on the way and tries to change history and save John the Baptists life. This is yet another top notch adventure from Adventures in Odyssey that brings the bible to life like never before. Needless to say, it ends with a lot for Aubrey to think about, and I am sure that Aubrey has learned her lesson.UAIO Rating (out of 10): Message/Lesson: 8 Plot: 7 Character Usage: 8 Musical Score: 7 Overall Entertainment Value: 7.1 See below fan reviews for there rating: ------------------------------------ Fan Review(s): Anne Shirley's Review review by Anne Shirley of Prince Edward Island It was only "OK". I do NOT like Aubdrey as a character. I think she is uninteresting, unkind and not a likeable character at all. I don't feel sorry for her at all. in any spisode. I hope she joins Jared in the Odyssey Abiss. (sp?) The girls who played Herod's daughter sucked. She couldn't act. I can't wait for some good Odysseys. Anne Shirley's rating: 2 Stars (Okay) out of 5. ----------------------- review by Joe Doe of Juneau, Alaska I did not like it. It was hardly funny, It Had NO Plot whatsoever, John The Baptist has been done on AIO before :( Joe Doe's rating: 1 Star (Bad) out of 5. ------------------------ review by Scott Thomas of MA, USA The Big Deal was awesome keep up the great work! Scott's rating: 5 Stars (Best) out of 5. ------------------------------------ Voice Talents: Peter Renaday as John The Baptist Kenneth Mars as King Herod Randy Crenshaw as Jarus Kris Kachurak as Micah Camilla Belle as Aubrey Shepard Paul Herlinger as John Avery Whittaker Memorable Quotes: [Salome who is introducing Aubrey to her Mother] Salome: Oh, This is Aubrey. Mother, she said my danceing was so beauitiful that I looked like a clutz. I am not sure what that is but I supose, that is it is some kind of beauitful bird or something. Isn't that right, Aubrey? Aubrey: You could say that. But I really wouldn't. Salome: Monther, I am a clutz! Mother: Yes, I am so proud. ------------------------------------ Fun Facts: 1. Did you know that the character that played Micah was that same actor who played Dwane in the earler episodes of Adventures in Odyssey as Jared's side-kick in most episodes. 2. Did you know that "The Big Deal" was originally written with both Nick Mulligan and Aubrey Shepard in the Imagination Station. Due to a schedule conflict, Chris Castille (Nick) wasn't available for the recording sessions, so the show was re-written by John Beebee, to take the Nick character out of the show. |
