Writer: John BeebeeDirector: John Beebee Production Engineer: Rob Jorgensen Music: John Campbell Songs Composed by John Beebee Songs Arranged by John Campbell Original Air Date: 11/04/2000 Scripture reference: John 14:6 Theme: The folly of humanism Album: None Yet.Summery:KIDS Radio presents a familiar story with a new twist. After being thrown into a new land by a tornado, Dotty and her dog Nono try their best to get back home and meet many new friends along the way. ------------------------------------ UAIO Review: Forget Kansass...this isn't even Odyssey anymore! The continuing adventure continues with Dotty in her quest to get home! Will the dummy get is smarts? Dose the Lion get power? And what about some love for Metal Guy? We see them travil through a many diffrent adventures to get the requested objects by the Wizard, and although it can get maybe a little slow at times, the episode starts to take a few unexspected turns, and for a moment the episode seems almost unpredicable. Which is very good, because one thing that get tiring is an episode that is always predicable, that you can live without hearing/seeing the end. Although, in this episode you can live without hearing the end, you would rather not. Then after gathering everything they need they head off to the great Wizard, who really is the only "pretty good" wizard. After we see he is no help at all the head back on there journay, and to a shocking surprise that the fairy odd mother is "the wicked and not very nice woman". Now the episode takes a twist, and many fans start to wonder. By now, the episode seems to long, it seems silly and dosn't even reallty have much of a message. Until Dotty starts realize, that the truth is not on the "big fat road" but the "wee skinny" road. I won't give away how they get rid of the fariy odd mother, you can listen for yourself. Then as Dotty makes her choice to follow the "wee skinny" road. Manny Kin, Metal Guy and Mystical Mountin Lion, all don't want to give up there possions to follow this road so they depart from Dotty and say there goodbyes. A wonderful message starts to work its way in as 'how much are we willing to give up to follow the I am'? What holds us back? The 'fisherman' is a tender young man, and the voice casting was perfect, as Cory Burton did an exilent job as the fisherman. It now all started to come together and we learn that although the way that our savior may bring us, may not be the easyest way, we should still follow him. UAIO Rating (out of 5): Message/Lesson: 5 Plot: 4 Character Usage: 4 Musical Score: 5 Overall Entertainment Value: 4.7 See below fan reviews for there rating: ------------------------------------ Fan Review(s): ------------- Voice Talents: Comming soon...compleate list. [Metal Guy reading a 6-foot valentine card] Metal Guy: I love you, you love me, We all live in harmony, feeling good and feeling fine, enjoying cheer and bright sunshine. [When ariving at the "Temple Of Enlightment"] Mystical Mountin Liont: Why so dark in here, tell us. Temple Of Enlightingment Clerk: Well, because we belive that the light is in all of us, and we also forgot to pay the electric bill.
1. You may have noticed that the story is kind of like the Movie, "The Wizard Of Oz" only done on KIDS Radio. The episodes is a spoof in a fun way, you will notice a lot of the same things that are in the movie and more! 2. John Beebee composed all the music for this episode as well as directing it. Beebee composed the music and wanted it to have the same similer sound to the Wizard Of Oz. When he sung to the tunes over the phone to John Camble, and he arranged them, amazing guys! 3. Just is case you wanted to know the cast this KIDS Radio, here it is: Dotty: Mandy Aunt Bee, Little Person: Connie Manny Kin: Tom Metal Guy: Bernard Mystic Mountan Lion: Jack Noo Noo: Noo Noo The Fairy Odd-Mother: Chris Narrator: Whit 4. John Beebee had his directing debue with this episode. 5. Aunt Bee is a refrance to one of John Beebee's shows, The Andy Griffth Show! <-----PAST REVIEW
